Applications Now Being Accepted for Executive Director Position
After serving as the Executive Director for Michigan Works! West Central for more than four decades, Paul Griffith has announced his retirement. His last day is scheduled for some time in March of 2019.
“It has been my honor over the years to work with over 200 Local Elected Officials and Workforce Development Board Members,” Griffith said. “I have also had the privilege to work with some very dedicated staff, who have provided many years of service to West Central.”
Griffith received his Bachelor’s Degree from Ferris State University’s College of Business and has 42 years of experience in the workforce development field, having seen many advances take place in recent years in Michigan. He is also very active in the community, having served as President of the Big Rapids Industrial Development Corp. for many years until it was merged with the Mecosta County Development Corp., on which he currently serves on the Executive Committee, as well as serving on the Executive Committee of the Newaygo County Economic Development Office Board. He also formerly served on the Mecosta County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority, and currently serves on the Newaygo County College Access Network Executive Council.
“I will miss working with the Board and my colleagues to bring about an array of talent solutions for the residents and businesses of West Central Michigan,” Griffith said. “I will take many great memories with me.”
