National Apprenticeship Week
WHAT IS NATIONAL APPRENTICESHIP WEEK?
National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) is a national celebration that offers leaders in business, labor, education, and other critical partners a chance to demonstrate their support for apprenticeship. NAW also gives apprenticeship sponsors the opportunity to showcase their programs, facilities, and apprentices in their community. The week-long event from November 11th-November 17th highlights the benefits of apprenticeship in preparing a highly-skilled workforce to meet the talent needs of employers across diverse industries.
Michigan is among the national leaders in apprenticeships and the state is working to grow the number of opportunities so more students gain in-demand skills without extensive tuition debt while employers get the talent they need to grow and thrive, creating more and better jobs.
